This year my students and I were inspired by Mr. McGuire’s Book Talks. We enjoyed watching the students share their book recommendations so much that we decided to try our hand at making our own. This was also the students first time working with iMovie.
I recorded each student’s book review and saved them all to our student common folder. The students were then introduced to the basics of iMovie. They were instructed to save their images to iPhoto before opening iMovie and importing their video. After a brief introduction by our wonderful IT Facilitator, @colingally, the students were off and running!
The students took to it like ducks to water. They became comfortable fast and were even able to help each other out with any problems.
The videos came out great and the students were very proud of their work! This learning experience was also a great introduction to iMovie as the following weeks were spent editing their green screen movies. (Soon to be shared in a future sharynideas.com post)
